THE WALLACE FAMILY IN CONCERT looks forward to entertaining the hometown folks in two shows on Saturday, May 24 at the Kenbridge Community Center. Band members are Will, Wiley, Boyce, Billy Wallace, Phyllis Wallace Forbes, Cindy, Laura, Connie, Mark Wallace, Ronnie Burroughs, and Kenny Clark.  Show times are 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM.

Classically-trained violinist and virtuoso fiddlers, sisters, Cindy, Laura and Connie Wallace light up the stage with lively fiddle tunes as well as beautiful harmony arrangements on their slower numbers.  They have performed in many bands, including Wild Mountain Honey, and The Wallace Sisters.  Their credentials also include many years at Dollywood Theme Park and two seasons with Dick Dale and Ava Barber at the Rainbow Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN.  They currently play with the Wild Blue Yonder Band in Knoxville, TN.  Check them out at www.wildblueyonderband.com

Mark
Mark Wallace is an award winning bluegrass 5-string banjo player who has taken top honors at the Galax Fiddler’s Convention and numerous other events. While studying abroad in Scotland, Mark was a member of the band No Strings Attached.   He has produced three tapes/CDs and his most recent CD, Bluegrass State of Mind, includes songs he has written and is available through CDBaby.com.
Will and Wiley, the Wallace Twins, have been performing on the Kenbridge High School auditorium stage since they were in the 1st grade eons ago.  Will (father of the Wallace sisters) plays mandolin, guitar and harmonica and Wiley (father of Mark Wallace) plays the guitar.  Their vocal harmonies have spanned the decades and they have performed on the radio, during their Navy careers, in churches, at bluegrass festivals and throughout the country at many entertainment events.  Will performs with the Heartland Band.

Boyce

Boyce Wallace is an accomplished musician who has been entertaining the public for 50 years.  His performances on the fiddle and other string instruments showcase his love of country music.  He and his band, Boyce Wallace and Friends, perform regularly at country square dances, nursing homes and other local events.

Ronnie Burroughs won First Place in the Autoharp Competition at the 2007 and 2005 Galax Fiddler’s Convention and is a two-time First Place Winner at the Union Grove Fiddler’s Convention in North Carolina.  He is a talented musician who also plays the banjo.  Ronnie performs with the Heartland Band and the Bluegrass Gospel Express.

Kenny

Kenny Clark is a well-known electric bass guitar player who began his career playing with his Dad Dudley and Uncle Paul when he was young. The Clark Family and Friends from Meherrin, Virginia played all over the United States including Hawaii and in Canada. He has appeared for special shows with his cousin Roy Clark on Hee Haw. Kenny performs with the Boyce Wallace and Friends Band.
